People of all faiths can count on the Alliance Defending Freedom organization to protect their religious freedoms. While they are a legal organization that does a great deal of work in the United States, ADF protects religious minorities worldwide. Alliance Defending Freedom also protect the rights of people who practice a faith that is in the majority, such as Christians in the U;S. The ADF believes everyone has the right to practice their religion, whether they are in the majority or minority.
Formerly known as Alliance Defense Fund, the group’s goal is to defend religious liberty for all people, claiming this freedom is “under assault” from a secular progressive movement.
Alliance Defending Freedom members may not agree with certain persons’ opinions, but they will defend their right to free speech. Our constitution guarantees a person’s right to peaceful free speech. ADF has fought for students’ rights on college campuses, going to the Supreme Court if necessary to uphold their rights.
Alliance Defending Freedom has nearly 5.000 network attorneys who can help people who feel their freedom of speech or parental rights were violated. They also fight for the sanctity of life. ADF wins almost eight out of every 10 cases that go to court. They are not afraid to take on anyone or any organization. Currently, they are representing the Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine, which is concerned that the Food and Drug Administration shouldn’t have approved a drug that can hurt women and girls.
ADF is also taking on schools when it comes to parental rights. The legal organization recognizes that parents have rights, especially pertaining to the education a child receives at school. Parents are not asking for the curriculum to change; they just don’t want it politicalized. ADF is fighting for children to be taught facts, not opinions. Parents can help their children interpret what they learn according to their family values. The ADF also promotes transparency in their child’s school curriculum in advance, instead of hearing their child’s version of what they were taught. Visit this page for more information.
