Early Life
In early life, Steve Ziemke was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado, where he attended Cherry Creek High School. Later in life, Steve Ziekme participated at the University of Colorado, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering after four years. At college, Ziekme was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society serving as president of his first and second years. He also served as a teaching assistant for undergraduate Petroleum Engineering, Geology, and Environmental Sciences undergraduate courses.
