Kfir Gavrieli Demonstrates Corporate Altruism

As investors in the 21st Century look to support companies that demonstrate good corporate social responsibility, that is to say companies that give back to the community and the world in supporting human rights and fair-trade practices, there are some CEOs who look to demonstrate altruism simply because it is the right thing to do.

Kfir Gavrieli is a serial entrepreneur, as the founder of Tieks, a producer of women’s ballet wear, has been engaging in giving back to communities for most of his life. In his eyes, success in business is not just a way to make money, but also a way to acquire resources that allows one to make a meaningful impact in the world through charitable causes.

Kfir Gavrieli took his business success and he founded the Gavrieli Foundation, which invests in women’s empowerment and women-owned businesses, especially for those living in poverty and in struggling communities. Over the years since its inception, the foundation has issued over $10 million in microloans to female entrepreneurs worldwide. Kfir Gavrieli is no stranger to recognizing the drive and determination needed to start a business. He holds a B.A., M.S. and MBA degree himself, and has worked in venture capital, real estate and technology. In his interviews, Gavrieli often speaks of envisioning the future, while acknowledging the past, and the importance of good work ethic.

Kfir Gavrieli credits the example of his parents as his own role models, while also hoping to be a role model to up and coming young business seekers himself. Upon immigrating to America in his childhood, Gavrieli notes how his parents started from scratch, not speaking the language, and eventually were able to rise to a comfortable living.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Gavrieli facilitated the manufacture and distribution of masks and other PPE to those in need, and gift cards to first responders. He may not think of himself as a hero, but agrees that heroes walk among us every day, and we all have the potential. Refer to this article on CrunchBase, for related information.
